Process

From project details to final install.

Natural Stoneworks keeps the countertop process clear, organized, and easy to follow — from your first quote request through material selection, laser templating, in-house fabrication, and installation.

How It Works

A clear countertop installation process.

Every project is different, but most countertop projects move through the same five core steps. Estimated timing can vary based on material availability, project scope, and jobsite readiness.

01

Submit your project

Start with the digital quote request form. Share your contact information, project address, project type, material interest, timeline, notes, and any photos or plans you already have.

Typical timing: takes about 2–5 minutes to submit.
02

Material selection & planning

The team reviews your project details and helps clarify material direction, scope, layout needs, sink and fixture details, and any special project considerations.

Visit the Lancaster showroom or work from selected supplier material options.
03

Templating

Once the space is ready, Natural Stoneworks uses laser templating technology to capture precise measurements and plan the final fit.

Cabinets and key site conditions should be ready before templating.
04

Fabrication

Your selected material is cut, shaped, and finished in-house by the fabrication team using specialized shop equipment and project-specific details.

Typical timing: often about 1–2 weeks from templating to installation, depending on scope and material.
05

Installation

The installation team delivers and installs your countertops, vanity tops, fireplace surrounds, outdoor stonework, or specialty project with care and attention to fit and finish.

Final timing is confirmed once templating, material, and fabrication details are complete.

Before Templating

What helps keep the project moving.

A little preparation makes the process smoother and helps avoid preventable scheduling delays.

Finalize layout details

Confirm project areas, sinks, faucets, cooktops, seams, backsplash needs, and edge profile preferences before templating whenever possible.

Prepare the site

Cabinets, supports, access points, and site conditions should be ready for accurate measuring and safe installation.

Share photos or plans

Photos, cabinet drawings, inspiration images, and material selections help the team understand the project faster.

Review the prep guide
