  • Use mild soap, water, and a soft cloth for daily cleaning.
  • Avoid direct high heat; always use trivets or hot pads.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or aggressive scrubbing pads.
  • Clean up spills and residue before they dry onto the surface.
  • Use cutting boards to prevent scratches and protect the finish.

Please refer to the care sheet provided on the website by the manufacturer of your selected quartz.

Marble Care Guide

Marble requires more mindful care because it can etch or stain if exposed to the wrong products.

  • Use pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaners whenever possible.
  • Avoid vinegar, citrus, bleach, ammonia, and acidic products.
  • Blot spills promptly instead of wiping them across the surface.
  • Use coasters, trays, trivets, and cutting boards daily.
  • Contact Natural Stoneworks with questions about sealing or maintenance.

Soapstone Care Guide

Soapstone is low maintenance but will require routine waxing to keep its color at its peak.

  • Apply soapstone wax as needed; more frequent applications will help darken the natural color.
  • Mineral oil can be applied to help reduce the appearance of surface scratches.

Care FAQs

Common countertop care questions.

What cleaner should I use?

For most surfaces, start with mild soap, warm water, and a soft cloth. For natural stone, use a pH-neutral stone-safe cleaner when possible.

Can I put hot pans directly on my countertop?

Use trivets or hot pads. Even durable materials can be affected by thermal shock, discoloration, or damage from prolonged high heat.

Do all countertops need sealing?

Not all surfaces require sealing. Granite, marble, quartzite, and other natural stones may need sealing depending on the material. Quartz generally does not require sealing.
